We’re excited to share that we’re introducing improvements that will bring faster email delivery, stronger security, and better inbox reach. To proceed, we’ll need your assistance in updating a few DNS records.
To start using new Email Infrastructure you need yo update current DNS settings in you Hosting Panel.
Add new SPF record
Add new CNAME record
Replace old DKIM with new DKIM
This step is optional
SPF allows mail servers to verify that User.com is allowed to send emails from your domain.
Record type: TXT
Name: Usually your domain name. Please check your Hosting Documentation.
Value: include:_spf.positivegroup.email
If your domain already has an SPF record, update its value instead of adding a second recor
Example
Current value: v=spf1 mx a include:_spf.mail03-userengage.com -all
Updated value: v=spf1 mx a include:_spf.positivegroup.email include:_spf.mail03-userengage.com -all
DKIM adds a digital signature to your messages to confirm that they are legitimate and unchanged.
Record type: CNAME
Name: usercom2048._domainkey.{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com
Value: usercom2048._domainkey.userengage.com
This strengthens your domain’s email security and ensures DMARC reports are delivered straight to your inbox.
Record type: TXT
Name: _dmarc.{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com
Value: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; sp=reject; rua=mailto:dmarc@{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com
How your DNS might look like after update.
Name | Type | Value | Purpose |
@ (root) | TXT | v=spf1 mx a include:_spf.positivegroup.email include:_spf.mail03-userengage.com -all | SPF (both includes) |
userengage._domainkey.{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com | CNAME | userengage._domainkey.mail03-userengage.com | DKIM (previous) |
usercom2048._domainkey.{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com | CNAME | usercom2048._domainkey.userengage.com | DKIM (new) |
_dmarc.{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com | TXT | v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; sp=reject;rua=mailto:dmarc@{YOUR-DOMAIN}.com | DMARC |
In your User.com Panel domain settings
www.{your-app}.user.com/v3/settings/mail-domains/
all DNS records which need an update are labeled as INCOMPLETE

After updating your DNS, click Validate or wait up to 24 hours for our system to recheck it automatically. Once everything is configured correctly, the status label will switch to ACTIVE
